Welcome to the Waterfront Community Policing Centre

The Waterfront Community Policing Centre is a place where the travelling public come together with businesses, partner community policing centres, and police who work together for a safer and better transit system.

Our volunteers are transit users who care about the safety of the travelling public and the transit system that they use every day.

November 2021: We are once again accepting new volunteer applications - apply today to join our team!

Meet your Neighbourhood Police Officer

Meet Sergeant Julien Ponsioen, your Neighbourhood Police Officer (NPO).

Sergeant Ponsioen came to the Metro Vancouver Transit Police in 2014 after a 21 year career with the BC Ambulance Service. He became the Neighbourhood Police Officer (NPO) in 2016 during a pilot program introducing NPO's to the Transit System.

Sergeant Ponsioen's passion was to have a volunteer Community Policing Office for the Transit System, so this website and office is truly a dream come true.
